Emerald acquires finance and business titles

Financial crime, real estate and corporate communications journals join Emerald fold

Business and information science journal publisher Emerald Group has acquired six business titles from Henry Stewart Publications, the London based academic publisher.

In the deal Emerald has acquired three accounting and finance titles, two titles covering real estate management and a title on corporate communications.

The Journal of Financial Regulations and Compliance (JFRC) is aimed at members of the accounting community that need to keep abreast of case law and regulations such as Basel III.

Two other titles joining the Emerald accounting, finance and legal stable from Henry Stewart are the Journal of Money Laundering Control (JMLC) and the Journal of Financial Crime (JFC). JMLC will focus on the technological developments in controlling money laundering, as well as practical guidance and articles looking to explain the sophisticated methods employed by money laundering criminals.

JFC is aimed at bankers and forensic accountants tackling financial crime and provides reports on the latest regulations and best practices in preventing financial crime.

Leasing, infrastructure management, strategic partnerships and planning are covered by the Journal of Corporate Real Estate and the Journal of Facilities Management, two real estate titles acquired in the deal.

Emerald publishes the Aslib journals on library management and information science. With the acquisition of Journal of Communications Management the Bradford based publisher has entered into the world of spin and PR. This journal covers the latest issues in corporate communications, public affairs and corporate social responsibility.
