BUPA to bare all at Blogs and Social Media Forum

Healthcare provider shares its own experiences of Web 2.0 challenges

Daniel Griffin, Information World Review 08 May 2007

Using Web 2.0 technology to disseminate healthcare information will come under discussion at the Blogs and Social Media Forum next month, with BUPA lead information architect Keely Flint agreeing to share her experiences at the healthcare provider.

Flint said the challenge of her role was to ensure information was relevant and accessible to all who needed it.

Under Flint, BUPA has used social bookmarking software to make its library of information resources available across shared networks.

Flint will also be offering tips on Web 2.0 implementation, examining the potential costs as well as benefits for your organisation in adopting such a solution.

Social software is useful for helping large organisations to prevent the formation of information silos (poor or non-accessible areas of knowledge) in the enterprise.

Held in June, the Blogs and Social Media Forum is produced by IWR owner Incisive Media.
