Daniel Griffin, Information World Review 03 Dec 2007

FIZ Karlsruhe, the not-for-profit scientific information service provider, has released a new energy research information publication; A Focus on Energy.

The brochure will comprise of energy-based research information, some of which dates back 30 years. Key information in A Focus on Energy includes research on renewable energy and energy efficient technologies from the organisation’s databases.

With national and international policy makers focusing their attentions on climate protection and environmentally-friendly energy supply issues, FIZ Karlsruhe see A Focus on Energy as a means to “present ways of fostering progress and innovation by providing precise information”. The release of the title, the organisation says, “continues FIZ Karlsruhe’s series of special publications on current research topics”.

Other subjects in the publication include articles such as FIZ Karlsruhe’s role as a founder member of the Energy Technology Data Exchange (ETDE), acting as a representative of the German federal government. Information on energy research databases such as ENERGY and BINE, which the organisation contributes to, is also outlined in the brochure.
