Lycos improves video search

The Lycos web portal is hoping to improve the search results for video by using the Blinkx search engine.

Blinkx searches for videos across the internet in the same way that search engines look for text. There are also videos from deals with UKTV and Sky. Blinkx claims to have indexed over six million hours of video so far.

Searching is available from the Lycos homepage. There is no cost for the searching, due to adverts on the page.
