Changes to the International Patent Classification (IPC) came into affect on January 1, 2006 and the major vendors have all undergone upgrades to their online systems to reflect the new IPC categories.

In the legal sector Justis Publishing and LexisNexis have re-launched their services with enhanced abilities, while publisher Sweet & Maxwell is increasingly offering its content in a variety of formats including new e-book offerings and podcasts.
